Authorities were notified of the relationship when rumors surfaced that Bailey was having sex with students who attended one of the Grayslake high schools. Students thought to be involved with Bailey denied those allegations, Scheller said. During the course of that investigation, the identity of another teenage boy believed to be having sex with Bailey was uncovered. Police then found out Bailey had sex with a 16-year-old boy who had been an acquaintance of her family. Scheller said the two had sex in a parking lot just off Route 83 in Round Lake Beach and another time at Bailey’s home. Authorities say those are the only known instances when the woman and teenager had sex. Police are investigating the possibility of other victims, Scheller said. Bailey’s bond was set at $25,000 bond. A conviction could carry a penalty of up to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

A 33-year-old Lake Villa woman was arrested after she allegedly showed elementary school children sexually-orientated video clips as they exited the bus.

Lake County sheriff’s deputies arrested April Jackson of 21930 W. 7th St, unincorporated Lake Villa, and charged her with disorderly conduct. The alleged actions occurred over the last week and a half, said sheriff’s Sgt. Christopher Thompson.

The sheriff’s office received information that a Lake Villa School District 41 bus driver was showing sexually-orientated animated video clips on her cellular telephone to the children on her route.

Police said Jackson would pull up to Olive Martin School, 24750 W. Dering Lane, and have the children wait to exit the bus, then showing them the video clips. The children were 7 to 11 years old.

Jackson was picked up at Durham Bus Services in Lake Villa. The charge is a Class C misdemeanor carrying a penalty of up to 30 days in jail and a $1,500 fine.

“In these tough economic times, you would think a person would do everything they can to hold on to their job,” said Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran. “Ms. Jackson’s actions are reprehensible.”
